SEASON 7, EPISODE 4

In this episode, horse trainer and national champion Lisa Gallery wouldn’t call herself a “horse whisperer” but you’d be hard pressed to find anyone else who has such keen communication with our equine friends. We saddle up with Lisa as we learn more about her special relationships with horses.

Nathalie Standingcloud is a storyteller, although not in the usual sense of the word. Her stories are told in ink and on the screen as she showcases her talent as both an emerging tattoo artist and actress.

Eric Vardeman is known as “The Curling Guy”. He is President and Founder of the Tulsa Curling Club, a unique winter sport that is often misunderstood. He shares with us why this game of strategy has sometimes been called “chess on ice”.

In our Cherokee Almanac, we look back at a time when Cherokee leaders understood that education was key in preparing their people for the challenges ahead in Indian Territory. We explore the Cherokee Public Schools Act and how our tribe was strengthened and united through education.
