Piercing the Cornstalks, Cherokee Bowyer: Jesse Grayson
Cherokee people have crafted bows and practiced archery for thousands of years. Jesse Grayson’s hope is that this practice will continue for thousands more. While growing up in a traditional Cherokee family, Jesse learned the value of our cultural crafts firsthand. He is a bowmaker like his father before him, and by sharing the knowledge passed down to him, Jesse preserves the ancient traditions of both bow making and the Cherokee cornstalk shoot.
